At Framework Specialist Works Ltd, we take health and safety very seriously, and we recognise its importance as a crucial component of any construction project in London, Hemel Hempstead and throughout South East England. All aspects of construction, and particularly scaffolding, are high risk activities but with the correct health and safety training and management, these risks will be minimised. We believe that our approach to design, planning, programming and training all go hand in hand to reduce the risks inevitably attached to the work we carry out.

It is our absolute priority to ensure that everyone who works for us, whether based on site, in the yards or in the office goes home safely at the end of the day. To assist with this we operate very stringent health and safety procedures and management, and make ongoing health and safety training part of our everyday routine. All site and yard personnel have a schedule of ongoing and relevant toolbox talks, and our near miss reporting procedure is available to all. Our culture is one of safety awareness, and we actively engage all staff in the process of identifying risk and minimising it.

To reinforce the importance of health and safety management, we operate a zero tolerance policy on any matters of non-compliance.

All scaffold is designed in accordance with TG20:13 regulations, or where these are not applicable a full design supported by engineers calculations and drawings is put in place. All works are carried on site under the SG4:10 guidelines without exception. Our method statements and risk assessments are specific to each individual site, and are explained to all site based management at the start of each project, who in turn communicate the content to all workers on site.

Full PPE is worn by all site and yard based staff at all times, as well as harnesses being required at all times for our scaffolders. The harnesses are regularly checked for damage and discarded if no longer fit for purpose. Company and site specific safety inductions are given to all staff, and all equipment and appliances are PAT tested to ensure their safety.
